TP560 + NT4 + 3C562D + suspend

Howdy-
  After doing a bunch of web and dejanews searching, I suspect the
  answer to this question will be "live with it." Just in case I'm
  wrong, does anyone know the solution to this:

  TP560 running NT4 & IBM's drivers, 3com LAN+33.36 pc card
  
  Problem: after suspend, I can't talk to the modem side of this card
  (net works fine). Attempts to access it get Error: 692 and some
  complaints (unable to perform disconnect operation) in the
  logs. Reboot and everything is better.

  Anything I can do to deal with this situation? Should I bother to
  call 3com or IBM?
