560x v. 600

I've been thinking about whether to replace my TP 560 (133mhz, active screen)
with a 560x or a 600 or to wait for something better.

I've been leaning towards the 560x, assuming the price comes down (currently
about $3,300 - I assume it will go under $3,000 shortly). From what I read,
it's about twice as fast as the 560, has a much bigger drive (4gb v. 1 gb), can
hold much more ram (96mb v. 40mb) and has almost twice the battery life (almost
4 hrs v. about 2)

The 600 is only about 15% faster than the 560 (PCMag benchmarks). While it has
a larger, higher resolution screen, it weighs about a pound more and the battery
life is not as good (about 3:12). I don't use cd-rom's that often, so a cd-rom
slot is of little interest. And it seems pricey - estimated street price is
$4,950.

Any thoughts, reactions, considerations, etc. would be appreciated.
