Might be.  Depends on how easy it is to get at the cracked area.  The 
final result on my 701 is just about invisible.  Also, it was an area 
with alot of room for reinforcement- i was able to extend the fiberglas a 
couple of inches to spread the load.  Sometimes, there is no place to 
reinforce, so all you can do is glue the crack.  Of course,  you have 
even more options if you don't mind a big wad of fiberglass pasted all 
over the exterior surfaces of your machine.
