In-Reply-To: <199804272346.TAA15050@pike.sover.net> What FixPack are you running with ? This was a major problem with Warp 3, but was fixed for some ThinkPads (notably 760s) at Warp4 GA. I seem to recall my 755CD needed an early FixPack to allow the card to removed (and live). My new 770 behaves impeccably - I don't even need to have the card inserted at boot time. But that is the IBM Ethernet II Credit Card Adaptor, now discontinued I believe. Also check whether there is a newer PCMCIA driver on the ThinkPad site for your particular model.
