One think to be careful about with laptop scsi is that many of the cheaper scsi cards will *not* run a scanner, only storage media (Zip, CD, HD). For example, the Adaptec 1450 is storage only (you need the more expensive 1460 for a scanner). Check manufacturer web pages for supported devices! David A.
