Solaris 2.6 vs Thinkpad 760CD

Since I don't have the internal CD option for the 760CD
I ended uo extracting my hard drive from its case, using
a standard IDE to a microIDE adaptor to connect my drive
to a standard PC/ISA/IDE controller, installing Solaris
using a desktop PC & reinstalling my disk in its caddy.

Solaris 2.6 runs just fine on my 760CD. But, I don't
have a clue how to get it to recognize my external SCSI
CDROM drive and SCSI HP Tape drive connected to Adaptec
SlimSCSI PCMCIA card. Does anyone know how to do this?

It is interesting to note Thinkpad 760CD video (as well
as several other Thinkpad video configurations) are very
explicitly supported by Solaris configuration program.
Solaris appears to work quite well on my system. I would
just like to be able to use it with external devices.

Does anyone know of MWAVE support for Solaris?

Thanks,
