I don't know to what extent this applies to Solaris, but there are some files
at IBM's web site concerning problems with some Thinkpads and some Adaptec
SCSI cards.  (Heaven forbid that the name synonymous with 'computers', and
the name synonymous with 'SCSI adapter,  would be 100% compatible!)
