Thank you, Jeff Jackowski, James McKenzie, and Bill Morrow for
answering my question whether I could use a 32MB or 64MB module to
increase my ThinkPad 760EL's memory. I ended up ordering the Apricorn
32MB memory module from a mail order company for $75 shipped and it
should arrive this week.
I've also been thinking about replacing the 760EL itself with a
ThinkPad 770E after even newer and faster models have driven the price
down in a few months (the 760EL would make a nice gift for my mother,
who sure could use it in her teaching job :-). However, I'm using my
ThinkPad 760EL at work (my company had a spare Dock II with keyboard
and monitor that no one was using) and I'd like to know whether the
770E (either by itself or inside the SelectaBase 770) is compatible
with the Dock II. If I bought the 770E, would I be able to keep using
the Dock II at work?
John
