Subject: 770ED...NT4.0 vs Win95/98

Hello All,

I'm about to order a new 770ED and would like to run NT4.0 instead of Win95
(or have dual-boot option)...just waiting to hear back from the distributor
(CDW) if the 770ED is available with NT4.0 or not. I know the 770E version
is available with NT4.0, but it isn't clear if NT4.0 is available for the
770ED. IBM's web site mentions NT4.0 several times on the 770ED page, but
only lists a model which ships with Win95 installed.

I know I can buy the new 770ED with Win95 installed and install NT4.0
myself (with dual-boot), but I'm concerned about the drivers I would need
to run various peripheral multi-media functions (i.e. IR, DVD, enhanced
video, etc.). If I do install NT4.0 on the 770ED myself, will I be able to
get these extra NT drivers from IBM or are they only available installed at
the factory?

If NT4.0 is not available (yet) on the 770ED, it seems to make more sense
to buy the 770E version with NT4.0 already installed and then add the extra
ED peripherals later (i.e. DVD, enhanced video, etc.).

I would appreciate any comments or suggestions before I make this big
purchase. Thanks.

Regards,
