Hi,
I can't achive 256 colors on Thinkpad 755C/CS with
Win95. Win95 detects grafik card "Western Digital 512K "
But there are no 256 colors possible with 640x480.
Second question: Thinkpad 755C/CS has a 1MB grafik card,
the vendor of this machine said. I've heard 800x600
are possible. Is it right?
IBM's homepage is quite good, but there is no comment
to grafik card.

Have you loaded the W95 Enhancement Disk? See:
http://www.pc.ibm.com/qtechinfo/GSMH-38YHVF.html
This will load the correct driver for the display in W95 at boot.
Check here for other drivers you may need, especially the newest BIOS:

No, the 755C and Cs models have VGA (640X480) displays. However, both models
do have 1MB of video RAM and support XGA (1024X768) external displays.
First 755 with an SVGA (800X600) display was the CX model.

Only the TP755CX models with MWave were 800x600. They made some without the
MWave Sound/Modem hardware that were 640x480 VGA
