Hi there,

Has anyone tried out one of these Zoom Video Cards? Notice any difference when compared
to running applications with software MPEG? I recently saw an ad from a company called
Kingmax. How are their products? Any other recommended manufacturers for these cards?

Thanx for ur help
-Vinod

I use the Noteworthy Zoomed Video MPEG card in my Toshiba Tecra 720CDT
and it is excellent.  It does not even compare with software MPEG.  I
watch Video CD movies filling the entire XGA display and the quality is
incredible.  I have commented before how it simply blew me away.  It was
so impressive that I ordered about 35 movies.  Software MPEG rarely can
handle full-screen playback with 30fps.  If you are interested in one of
the highest ends of multimedia and entertainment, then you may well want
to purchase the card.  I do not regret my purchase for an instant.

I ordered all my movies from CD Movies.  You can either call them at
1-888-CD-MOVIE or visit their web site at http://www.cdmovies.com.

Does the machine have to be Zoom Video ready, or will it work in any
PCMCIA machine. I have a Toshiba T2105?  Where can I get info on these?

To use a Zoomed Video card, the PC Card slots must be hardware Zoomed
Video ready.  Only the latest models from certain manufacturers will
have this feature.  The first Toshiba model to support Zoomed Video was
the Tecra 720CDT.
