Disabling the onboard audio, USB or hardware monitor
The onboard audio, USB or hardware monitor can be disabled using the BIOS Setup Utility. Select the Advanced menu, then the Peripherial Configuration screen. The menu will offer options to enable or disable the audio, USB or hardware monitor features, if they are present on the motherboard. Other Setup options may be found in the Intel® PR440FX Technical Product Specification.
Disabling the onboard SCSI and LAN
The onboard SCSI and LAN cannot be disabled using the BIOS Setup utility. Some operating systems may provide the capability to reallocate the resources used by these devices. See your operating system documentation for further details.
