The OS wars are largely over.To this I say: you ain't seen nothing yet. The OS wars are not over until Microsoft has its proprietary stranglehold removed; whether it takes a few years or many, computing is not going to progress until the MS monoculture is broken up, and some real fresh ideas can enter the market. What's best for Microsoft is not what's best for progressing the science of computing.
