I had 0.99pl13 running and gave up because the network code was so
broken.  Later versions caused the thinkpad to get wedged...maybe
because of some extra interrupts that the disk controller seems
to generate.

My patches are available from cs.utk.edu, directory pub/moore/linux
and below.
