Rubber caps for our Trackpoint II can be had from IBM at an unbelievably reasonable price. I'm not sure of the exact price but it's something like $10-15 for a pack of 3-5 (yeah, pretty broad range, but it was late on C$ and I can't find the message anymore). Also, that annoying hibernation beeping can be controlled by the Sounds applet with OS/2. I don't know about Windows and DOS, but I would presume the Thinkpad applet under sounds for Win and the PS2.EXE for DOS.
