necessary directories?

I just received my tp 755cs and would like to get rid of some stuff to
make room on my pathetic 170mb hard drive.

I was wondering what were in these directories and If I could delete them
without any consequences.

755DEMO, WELCOME, FX_INST, SCREENS, FACTORY

also, am I supposed to get a reference disk?
is that the utility disk?
