Video bios shadowing?

I am trying to use the dos emulator in Linux on my Thinkpad 755CD. It
starts up but graphics stuff doesn't work. The DOSEMU manual mentions
that video bios shadowing must be turned off so I thought maybe that
is the problem. But I'm not sure how to tell on my machine whether
the video bios is shadowed or how to turn it off if it is. I tried
booting into the IBM setup stuff (holding down F1 when booting)
but I found nothing there. I also tried the "ps2" command but it
doesn't seem to be able to set or tell me about video bios shadowing
either.

So finally the question: Does anyone know anything about this? Anyone
using DOSEMU on a Thinkpad?

Thanks for any help!
