I have a friend who had this happen after about 6 months on a 750C. In her case, it was a connector problem, and IBM replaced the entire screen within half a day (to a new 755 Active one!). But yes it apparently isn't damaging anything. And no, it won't go away. (That's what IBM said, anyway).
