one other important point about the SVGA CX is that it is probably NOT
as convenient for multi-media work as the VGA machines for two reasons.

1. The 600 x 800 mode works only in 256 colors. Unlike a CRT where you
can modify the resolution, the resolution of a TFT is of course fixed.
This means that if you want to work in 64K color mode, you work with a
small 480 x 640 image centered in the screen (note that full screen DOS
sessions are also shrunk this way). 

2. You cannot have both the TFT and an external VGA (480 x 640) display at
the same time (for the same basic reason, the TFT is fundamentally 600 x 800
and cannot be operated at 480 x 640).

For my purposes, these limitations do not matter, but they are worth being
aware of in deciding which way to go. Probably if you are interested in
multi-media, the 755CD is a better bet (it can be upgraded to the PENTIUM
mother board).
