Memory for 755Cs

I have two questions:

1.  Where is a good place to buy 8MB DIMMS.  I have a 4MB DRAM card now, but
I think(?) that if I buy a DIMM now, I can buy a second later and use
both at the same time.  Also, how much would this cost?

2.  Is it generally considered safe to buy from a person? Does it matter
if it is new or used?
