incidentally, I know the figures for the Mwave software have not looked
good, but in practice, I don't know why, the throughput with the Mwave
modem is MUCH better than with the 14.4 Megahertz modem, and comparable
with what I get from the 28.8 Megahertz (which in practice is not that
much faster -- don't know why).
