I don't think it's a memory chip problem. I've maxed out on memory many times without any error messages or crashes. I frequently open 5MB graphics files in Photoshop, for example, without any trouble. With DVP, however, the system crashes after only one second of video capture. I have 24MB of RAM on the 755cd, so I can't be maxing out on RAM in that amount of time. I don't think it's a Windows problem either. The DVP I'm using was moved from another disk drive (with a separate version of Windows on it). Both DVPs have crashed when used on my 755cd. Are there any memory utilities which could diagnose this? Also, someone mentioned that IBM can check my system over the phone. How does this work? If it my memory needs to be replaced, how long does this take? I need the 755cd every day for work.
