I guess I'm missing your point here...
What does historical prices have to do with IBM's *current*
pricing on this drive being so *far* out of whack with the current
market?
I just bought a 540 MB drive for my father and paid a meager
$180 for it. While it may be nostalgic for me to point out that I
paid over $1,200 for this same size drive just 3 years ago, its
relevance stops right there at my nostalgia.
Of course, if some foolish company were trying to sell this
540 MB drive for that > $1,000 price today, they'd be lucky to make
a single sale.
