755CX vs. 755C

Hi

I'm new to the list and own a recently purchased 755C which
I was very pleased with until the screen misfunctioned.
During operation the cover was partially closed, ten minutes
later when reopened the screen was tinted an odd shade of
blue and had become slightly dimmer. After being told by the
technicians that this required service, I decided to return
it to the retailer and upgrade to a CX.  Is anyone familiar
with the screen problem I'm having, and is it as likely to
occur with the SVGA on the CX?  And in general are ther any
drawbacks from switching to a CX?  I do a lot of graphic
work, including CAD, so both the high resolution and the
pentium processor are attractive options.
