I suspect that marketing tactics decree that they be available for best
friends first, individual users as important (many unit) consumers become
satisfied. My neighbor, former VP-Marketing for Circuit City, always had
the best toys first--and usually several `evaluation units' which on occasion
he might lend me for a while in return for an opinion. Sadly, he has retired...
