power pack for 755cx

doesnt do anything !  the connector is loose, and the ac plug in 
connector does not power up the unit.  i never did like the way it seated 
into the machine.  has anyone else had the thing go belly up ?  

am currently using the dock II for power, then pulling it out and using 
the battery, till the light goes orange.
