I'm inclined to doubt this, though I never tried it. Reason being
is that this is a very seperate, discrete component--virtually no interface
with the computer at all. Based on that, I doubt you can re-direct the
output to the external video jack.

I'm pretty certain it does not do PAL--only NTSC (at least that's
all it mentions in the manual).

In what sense? Yes, you can plug RCA-type Video & Audio-in cables
in you wish to view a tape from a video camera (for instance). But you
cannot capture these for computer use--viewing using the whole screen only.
