301 is a keyboard error, most often caused by a key held down on
bootup. Make sure one isn't sticking. If she's using the internal,
plugging in an external will probably be a quick workaround if it's
at the key level.
The tech manual lists the hardware to check in the order of:
keyboard
interposer card
external numerical keypad
external keyboard
keyboard/mouse cable
system board.
If the checkout stuff is the same as in the 750s, she can run the
test by holding down the F1 key at boot to get into EZ Setup (if she
can't get that far, the problem is probably more than a physical
keyboard problem...) and press CTRL-A to get to the diagnostic menu,
then CTRL-K This'll get the keyboard test screen.
