Is there any problem with using the built-in modem of the TP 701 and the TP 755CX in England or Germany? IBM says you need a telephone kit if you want to use these modems on the German telecom network. But what for? Can I damage the DSP-chip if I connect my machine without usinng this kit? Christoph Eyrich PS: I just got a TP701 - it isn t fast compared to the 755CX - but in a way I am more impressed by this wonderful keyboard mechanics than I was by the quality of the new 800x600 TFT screens...
