A few days ago I posted query concerning a blank screen on my 701 regardless of the settings in the configuration utility. The solution is quite simple: I took out the battery pack for a couple of hours - and the problem was gone. (This was suggested by IBM - but it was a reminder to call them again if they don't have an answer. The person I spoke to the first time had no idea...)
