RE: introduction

OK, since we're getting into introductions, hi.

I work for Eastman Kodak, and we have a mobile sales force that is equiped
with Thinkpads. Currently we have 700's, 720's (not many), 750's, 360
CSE's, 755CX's, 755CV's, 760C's, and two 760CD's (and one is my personal
machine). We have several hundred of these different machines out in the
field. I create the master setup for our field machines, and I am also the
'pre-IBM' tech support for these machines. Before our Help Desk calls IBM
service, they usually call me. Since most of our field equipment is
laptops, equipped with only modems, I don't have to deal with docking
stations, 'weird' PCMCIA cards, or any non-standard equipment (CDROM's, GPS
equipment :), which makes that part of my job fairly easy.

My office machines are a 760CD (1.2G HD, 16Meg of Memory, IBM Ethernet and
Adaptec Slim SCSI PCMCIA cards), running both Win3.1, and Windows 95, and a
755CX (540 HD, 16Meg, non-MWave model, Megahertz XJ2288 modem) running the
same. I also have a Valuepoint, but that is not part of this discussion.

As Forrest Gump would say "...and that's all I gotta say about that."

Please keep up the intros. I would like to know who else is on this list
too.

Now, to make another plea. If someone knows who makes an adapter to hook a
thinkpad HD into a desktop (2.5" -> standard IDE), please send me a
manufacturere and a part number. Even vendors (preferrably in the NE US)
would be useful.

Thanks in advance...
