I'm assuming you are using Linux (you don't actually specify in your
posting!). It would be interesting to know what version. The
problems I've had with the ps/2 mouse is that it must use irq 12
but sometimes Linux will assign that irq to another device (the
PCMCIA stuff is usually the culrit). The way to check this out
is to look at the contents of /proc/ioports and /proc/interrupts to
see what all has been assigned.
