You still have to use mode3x from DOS and boot via loadlin, but a small patch to the kernel and one command in rc.local and you have a beautiful 100x37 full-screen console. If anyone's interested, let me know. Probably requires something close to 1.3.x -- if you have src/linux/arch/i386/boot/video.s, it should be OK. Jeffrey
