lithium battery for the 701?

Just wondering if the 701 has a lithium ion battery option. I'm aware of the 
NIMH but in the May 1996 issue of BYTE magazine, the article "Perfect-Fit 
Portables" states:" For an additional $150, you can buy a lithium ion battery 
(for the Butterfly) , which should boost the charge by about 20 percent..."

Any comments?
