Just a quick not to say how my experience with Portable Enhancement Products
went.
I sent my 360C in for a processor (and memory) upgrade. It had a 48633sx, and
came back with an AMD 133 DX4. All I can say is that it all went perfectly.
The cost was $500 us (for the processor upgrade) and it has given my 360 a
new lease on life. It is *way* faster (as you would expect). Battery life is
not noticeably affected. PEP did exactly what they said they would and
turnaround was only a couple days. My experience leads me to recommend this
upgrade if you have similar performance problems (I run Linux on my laptop
and it is much happier now - the silly "bogomips" rating has gone from 13 to
66).
The usual disclaimer about having no connection with PEP other than being a
satisfied customer applies here.
