Re: Extra lit pixels...

" One interesting observation, IBM machines seems to have wrong pixels
(or should I call them shorted pixels) more than dead pixels. Wat's
    with this occurence ?
After 3 months with my 701, I've just got one read pixel lit up
below... wat's ibm qualify rates ?
"

What you call a "wrong" pixel is one that is stuck on. In general pixels
can be stuck on or stuck off. If you see a red pixel in a black background,
then you have a red pixel stuck on. If you see a yellow pixel on a white
backround, then you have a red pixel stuck off.

You said you had one "read" pixel, which I guess to be a typo for red, so
that is probably stuck on. A red pixel on a white background would mean
the blue and green both stuck off at the same place, very unlikely.

I have owned many thinkpads of several models, and never had a bad pixel.
My 760CD for a while had a blue pixel stuck on, but it went away on its
own. I am switching to a Tecra 720CDT now, so it will be interesting
to see whether those machines have equally perfect screens or not.
