I can't argue with that, and would ask any IBM people reading this
list to please try their best to put all the rf chokes, ferrite beads
and/or whatever inside the Thinkpad itself.  Or do something like the
USA telephone cable supplied with my 755 that has a little ball on
one end formed by winding the cable itself though it a few times.
That kind of thing is much easier to live with as there's no chance
of breaking off something protruding from the computer itself.
