Re: Loading Win95 and CD-ROM Drive

Mark,

I recently switched to W95 from W3.11 on my 755cx. I have a CD-ROM in
my Dock II Station so hoped to load from the W95 CD. I called IBM first
and they strongly suggested loading W95 from floppies. It seems like
you can, in theory, use an external CD-ROM to load W95, but it
probably invites problems. I ended up using the floppies and, using
IBM's "Installing Microsoft Windows 95 Upgrade on IBM 755CD[et all]",
had no problems with the install. As much as it pains me to admit it,
I do like W95. Hope this helps.
