Modem/Win95 Dialer Question

Thinkpad List:

I have a question that's probably more Win95 related than thinkpad, but
hoped some of you might have an answer.

I have a 701C with Windows95 loaded. I'm using the Win95 dialer to
connect to my ISP. This past week I was traveling and tried to dial in
from my hotel to the 800 number of the ISP. I put in the number,
including the need to dial 9, then 1, then the 800 number.

However, the hotel's phone system required a second or so of time
between the dialing of "9" and the dialing of "1" in order to get a new
dialtone. I could do this manually, but when autodialing, the 9 was
followed too quickly by the 1-800 number - so an outside line was never
established and I just got a busy signal. Again, when I dialed
manually, I could pause long enough after dialing 9 to get the new dial
tone. Then, I dialed the rest of the number and connected ok.

Anybody, have suggestions on how I can get the Win95 dialing program to
pause after dialing 9 (for the outside line), wait for another dial
tone, and then dial the 1-800-ISP number.

I appreciate your suggestions.
