Subject: Known Design FLAW in Select-A-Dock !!!

I have a TP 760 ED and a Select-A-Dock. Here's the problem...when docked
and powered on (by pressing the TP power on switch) the power to the
Select-A-Dock comes on, but the system doesn't always boot...it just sits
there with the power indicator on. To get it to boot, I have to repeat the
power on-off-on sequence several times. Having deemed this to be
unacceptable, I sent both my TP and Select-A-Dock to EASY SERV twice...the
first time they replaced the TP system board, but that didn't fix the
problem. The second time, the technician said that the problem stems from
a known design flaw in the Select-A-Dock, but IBM has NO FIX FOR IT! I
find this completely unacceptable. I paid $7k plus for this system (TP and
Dock) and this is the response from IBM??? Frankly, I was shocked. Is
anyone else having this or similar problems? How can I escalate within IBM
for resolution?
