I'm thinking about getting 8Mb additional memory to join the 8
with which my 701CS came. I know that I need a 3.3v SO DIMM, but zero
beyond that. Any tips on brands, providers to avoid, installation problems?

Check out prices on 16 meg DIMMS before you decide, memory is *really*
cheap at the moment, and eventually you will need the 16 anyway.
