If it's a 9-pin D connector then this is a pretty common cable and should be in most any decent computer store - it would have a 9-pin female connector on one end and a 25-pin male on the other. Some of the more heavily constructed of these are too big at the connector ends - I've used a disc sander to zap away some of the plastic so it would fit properly (it doesn't take much either) with whatever is next to it.
