I called the chip mercahnt and got the same story about the special order.
I gave up and then someone suggested CanRAM (1-888-4-CANRAM) in Canada. (which
is where I am) I got my 16 MB in less than 24h by Purolator, and it cost me
$185 Canadian, which is ~$125 US.
The box said 701 16MB EDO RAM... would EDO make a difference on a 701?
