They have said the same thing to me. Maybe it has something to do with
the lack of knowledge on their international sales department? Could
anyone clarify this, is a SO-DIMM memory expansion an industry standard
(and thus will fit a TP701C) or not?

Still doubting whether or not to order the standard SO-DIMM,
