multiple different tcp/ip settings

hi there,
i'm new to the thinkpad world. until now i always had a pc directly
attached to some network. no i am in the situation that i want to
connect the TP to a Token Ring network at work and to an Ethernet
network at home and probably to the internet via Dialup Adapter from
some place around the world.

I'm running win95 for that purpose (linux for other purposes), defining
the connections is relatively easy to do, however, i noticed that i
can only define one set of TCP/IP settings such as:

  - hostname
  - domain
  - gateway

to me it would make a lot more sense if these data would be specific
to a given connection such as T/R, E'net, Dialup ...

does anybody know a way how to achieve this? (This must be a FAQ! I
apologize in advance but i really haven't been in this situation until
recently).

thanks for your help.
