This is known as the FDD External Attachment Kit. It's useful to have, but
I did have a moment of hesitation paying that price for a cable and a piece
of plastic. The good news is that the resultant package is very light in
weight. I carry mine with me on trips. The connector attaches to not only
all of the standard docks/replicators, but also to a connector on the
760's. (Is this the same connector used by the 560's?).
I purchased my FDD External Attachment Kit from PC Connection. I had
trouble finding one in stock, and had to wait for a significant backorder.
