I believe I read in one of the doc files somewhere that enhanced video features do not work when you use the external monitor. The rotation feature is only available using the 3.1 drivers. You have to go into control panel and change the display driver there to switch between rotating and not rotating, but it can't be done on the fly, you have to reboot in between changes. Also when you say that the resolution fields are greyed out in display, I assume you mean the thinkpad display program. The top half in the advanced menu will be greyed out because that is to set the LCD, and that must be changed thru control panel, the bottom half with the monitor type should be able to be changed. If you don't have a bottom half then you need to install the newer utility disk. Josh
