Re: Enhanced Video on 755cd/win95
If I am not mistaken, you must disable the enhanced video in order to use
resolutions above 640 X 480. Go into the TP Video Controller utility and
Disable enhanced video if you want to use an external, hi-res screen. Also,
in the Display utility, you need to set CRT only. This still allows you to
use the LCD when a monitor is not attached.
Warning, keep the color at 256 for all screen resolutions, otherwise you
need to reboot to change. Also, if you have the system set to high
resolution, and then for to LCD use, and then the system flakes (needs a
reboot), nasty things happen with the display settings that require WIN 95
to come up in Troubleshooting mode. Before I hybernate my system, I always
switch the resolution to 640 X 480 to avoid this problem. I have a fairly
tricky setup that doesn't require a reboot to go mobile or to reconnect to
desktop use. It's pretty handy and saves lots of bootup time in both directions.
