TP701 Win95 DOS-Box scramble gone!

Hi Y'All!

I don't know precisely what I did, but my TP701cs doesn't
scramble the screen anymore when I open a DOS-Box or one
is opened by a DOS-Selfextractor...

I run Win95 at 16bit-color, which is (was!) the only mode with
this problem, I believe.

The only thing I did I can think of is a new version of Active-X,
version 2, that came with this free screensaver-pack from
Microsoft, something with transforming bio-thingies or so -
I don't know because I had to abort after updating Active-X
and before installing the screensaver due to diskspace problems
(340MB disk - still...).
I know that MS uses such giveaway toys for silent updates -
and the Active-X drivers _do_ update the regular videodrivers,
in some cases, too.

Yippie!

Now the only thing that bothers me is my modem _still_ disconnecting
after 5 minutes until the modem is (physically) hot enough -
that takes 10 to 15 minutes with the 'pad on my bed's comforter...
And yes, I believe I've tried every trick mentioned in this
list except EasyServ...

Just wanted to share the good news!

Greets,
Axel
