All of our sales people have switched over from the Compaqs and IBMs to
the Toshiba 610CT about a year ago and they all loved it. I actually
used one for about 3 weeks when I was travelling through 8 Pac Rim
countries and didn't have any problem. The only things I missed are the
CD-ROM and a bigger screen. I think the 650CT now has a bigger screen,
faster CPU and bigger hard drives. How about Dells or Samsungs? I've
heard the guy who used to head the TPs lines for IBM is now working for
Samsung in the notebooks division.
It might be hard to get a hold of the Tecra 500CDT unless you have an
excellent vendor. I called CompUSA (one of the biggest
distributor/reseller here in the States) about 3 weeks ago and was told
they had 1000 units in back order which 500 already been sold in
advance. They do have TPs in stock thought... ;-)
